Hey all! I wanted to tell you about a cool communal author blog feature starting on May 23 called Snippet Saturdays. 
This is a Saturday event that a whole bunch of authors are taking part in. You can check here every Saturday and find out who is posting fabulous snippets on their blogs; themed snippets like “first kiss” “first touch” “fight scene,” “characterization” or “prologue.” Some awesome authors are participating. I think the idea is original, creative and fun.
I’m not participating in every one, but if you check here on Saturday morning, you can get a starting point for the ‘trail’ of themed blogs. Starting May 23 stop by and see who has themed snippets going on their blog. At the end of each entry, you will see links to authors who also put up snippets on their blogs with similar themes. (It’s a follow the bread crumb scenario…or pub crawl for authors and readers. lol.)
Even with your favorite authors, you might see cool things like outtake snippets (portions that have been removed from books that you know and love.) It’s a great way to celebrate your faves and discover new authors.

Cool! How does an author get in on this? (Not that I’ll even be home on the 23rd. Going to Mammoth, but I’ll have my netbook!)
