Dear Reader,

I’ve been getting this question a lot, so I thought I’d write this reference blog post in order to address some of the more common questions and hopefully clear up some confusion. Other questions I’ve been getting are, “When does book 9 come out of BYAM?” and “I’ve finished Because You Are Mine, but now I can’t get Because You Are Mine book 2 in print. Where do I get that?”

The basic answer to the question is that the 4 books in the series go in this order:

1. Because You Are Mine (serial and complete format available)
2. When I’m With You (serial available now and complete format on 9/3)
3. Because We Belong (traditional format)
4. Since I Saw You (traditional format)

Those titles represent four novels. The first two novels, Because You Are Mine and When I’m With You were released initially as serialized ebooks. This means that the entire novel is told in ‘parts’ 1-8, each part releasing for 8 weeks, every Tuesday. For those of you who just purchased the print book or complete ebook of Because You Are Mine, you can see that your book was divided into 8 separate parts–those were the initial episodes of the serialized ebook, which started to come out last July, and now is available in print/ebook complete. If you just read the entire novel, Because You Are Mine in print or ebook, you’ve read the entire book. There is no Because You Are Mine part 2 in print to purchase separately–it’s all been put in to the book you just read. There is also no Part 9. But don’t dismay, because…

Does the story continue?

Yes. When I’m With You, which continues Ian’s and Francesca’s story, but is the steamy romance between Lucien and Elise, started to come out in serialized format on March 5. Lucien and Elise are the main characters, but this book is set in the Because You Are Mine ‘world”. Ian and Francesca are important characters in it and a major part of their romance is told. When I’m With You will release in print/complete on September 3, 2013.

Are the stories related?

Yes. It is a continuation. A reader would have some difficulty understanding what’s happening in the third book, Because We Belong if they haven’t read When I’m With You, although it wouldn’t be impossible, by any means. They were written with one story arc in mind, however.

Ian and Francesca move onto center stage again for Because We Belong, out in November of this year.

Because We Belong book will be released initially as a trade paperback in November of 2013 (not because I haven’t enjoyed doing the serials, but because contracts are drawn up and requirements are stated long before the books are ever written).

Another question I’m getting a lot:

Will ‘When I’m With You’ come out in a single print/ebook like Because You Are Mine did?

If the serialized book does well, it will go to print.The publisher has announced that When I’m With You will go into print format on Sept. 3.The print/complete book is now available for preorder. The complete ebook will not go up for sale until (probably) August or so, but it is still available in ebook serial format. I understand that many people are confused by this release format, which is understandable, since it is new to them. It’s not dissimilar to a hardback first scenario. If the book does well in that format, it goes to trade or mass market format.

Since I Saw You, Book 4, is also set in the Because You Are Mine world. It will be released in May 2014. I will show off the new cover for it very soon!
