The Naughty and Nice Book Signing and a Big Giveaway!
Monday, December 12th, 2011

So you made it to the Naughty and Nice Book Signing at Rose’s Bookhouse in the St. Louis area…or…you didn’t? Well, no worries. There’s going to be another next year! I can’t wait. This was a very high energy, fun event taking place at a cozy book store–the kind of place where you could spend a few hours drinking a coffee and browsing the shelves.

On the night of the bruhaha, however, it was all about wine, appetizers, friendly (rowdy) women, and oh…even a male model from Kim Killion’s graphic design company, Hot Damn! Myself, Shayla Black, Kim Killion and Annmarie McKenna all signed books.

It was a sexy, book lover’s event sponsored by hospitable Wendy Drew, of Rose’s Bookhouse. Wendy took the time and care to make sure everyone present had a great party in the best setting ever–a book store! All attendees got a goody bag, raffle tickets for adult (trust me, very adult) door prizes, and a lot of good conversation about books and…stuff that women are known to talk about at a function like this. šŸ˜‰

Photo: Myself along with four terrific ladies who drove or flew a long way to this event. Thanks ladies. It was so great seeing you there!

So, at the end of this week, I’m going to give away one copy of a signed book from each of the Naughty and Nice authors–Annmarie McKenna’s Blackmailed, Shayla Black’s latest, Belong to Me, Kim Killion’s, Her One Desire and my own (Bethany Kane’s One Night of Passion book) Addicted to You! I got them just for you people who couldn’t make the event–I hate leaving people out!

Just leave a comment to qualify for all four signed books–would you ever go to an author book signing or reader conference? Have you been? What was it like? If you’ve never been, would you go, given the opportunity?

The only author signing/reading I’ve been to was when Chuck Phaliniuk came to my hometown, which was awesome! I live an hour from San Francisco, so I’m still waiting for a big author event to happen there so I can make the drive. Seems signing events only happen in big cities. Luckily, I’m not far from one! I’m also very much considering attending the RT convention next year in LA! That’s only 5 hours by car! lol

Thanks for the giveaway, it would be an awesome Christmas present to win these books! šŸ™‚

I’ve never been to a book signing or conference but it sounds like tons of fun. I’d love to meet the authors that wrote the books I read regularly!

I would love to go to a signing – but they are always either too far away from where I live, or I am right in the middle of a huge project at work šŸ™ Maybe next year?

I’ve only met one author. As a high school graduation present two years ago, my best friend and I drove 13 hours to meet J.R. Ward. It was amazing. I definitely want to go to more, but not many authors come around Valdosta, and I can’t afford to go far away like that generally. It was definitely worth it!

I would love to go to an author signing. Actually I’m going to Epicon in March and Romanticon in Ohio. I can not wait. I moved from Dallas about 5 years ago and I know they have author signings up there but usually when they are, I can’t go. šŸ™

You might remember me from the most recent Lori Foster conference. I think I saw you there once or twice. šŸ˜‰ It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, really and truly. I had such a great time! I’d love to go to another one again someday, and it would be all the more special if it was one you were attending too! šŸ™‚

Why do I always learn of these things ‘after the fact’? I live in St. Louis, and never heard a word about it, but you say another for next year? I will keep my eyes and ears open for that one. Since most signings/conferences are too far or out of my budget, I’d love to go to something close.

I have never been to a book signing or conference but would love to go! I tend to have really bad panic attacks when in crowds but hopefully I can work on this and be able to go. I would love to meet some of my favorite authors.

I’ve been to book signings at library events and they are sooo fun. Authors are pretty cool people, they’ve gotta be creative, so its really fun to meet them. Best author I’ve met is Laurell K Hamilton – Definitely a unique soul šŸ™‚

Message: Hi Beth, love your work, especially the unforgetable “Wicked
    Burn”. LOVE, LOVE that book.
Yes, I am an author groupie and would attend as many signings as I
could. Unfortunately, .I live in the boonies and hardly any authors
come my way, bt yes, I’ve attended conferences and gone to
readings/signings when I used to live in bigger cities. IT is very
thrilling to meet an author in person and have a signed copy. I
    treasure it!!
Love all the authors listed here too.
    Tks Clio

I have been to one book signing. It was a local author who had written a book about the county I grew up in. She sat and talked with me and signed my book; I was thrilled.

I’ve made my 2012 resolution to attend at least one author conference. I’m not sure which one, but I want to go!
