New York Times Bestselling author Nalini Singh is here today! (Are we lucky or what?) I’ve read the first in her Guild Hunter series–Angels Blood and become a true fan of this talented lady. I’m looking forward to reading the popular Psy/Changeling series.
Nalini is here to tell us about Branded by Fire, which comes out in July of this year. She’s been generous enough to do a giveaway of a signed copy of one book or novella from her backlist of the Psy/Changeling series (winner’s choice). This contest is open internationally!
Hailed by Christine Feehan as “a major new talent,” New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh now brings together two fierce changelings in her most explosive story yet.
Branded by Fire
Though DarkRiver sentinel Mercy is feeling the pressure to mate, she savagely resists when Riley Kincaid, a lieutenant from the SnowDancer pack, tries to possess her. The problem is not simply that he pushes her buttons; the problem is that he’s a wolf, she’s a cat, and they’re both used to being on top.
But when a brilliant changeling researcher is kidnapped from DarkRiver territory, Mercy and Riley must work together to track the young man—before his shadowy captors decide he’s no longer useful. Along the way, the two dominants may find that submitting to one another uncovers not just a deadly conspiracy, but a passion so raw that it’ll leave them both branded by fire…
BK: Thank you for joining us, Nalini!
What is sure to distract you from sitting down and working/writing?
NS: A good book! I have to be very careful not to start a book I’m looking forward to while I’m hard at work, because I always want to read it through as fast as possible.
BK: What are you working on presently? What about upcoming releases?
NS? I’ve just completed the second book in my Guild Hunter series, which will be coming out next year. At the moment, I’m taking a short break before diving into my next Psy/Changeling manuscript.
As to releases, I have several this year ““ Branded By Fire (July) and Blaze of Memory (Nov) are both part of the Psy/Changeling series.
I’ve also got a novella “Angels’ Judgment” in the Must Love Hellhounds anthology (Sep). This novella is set in the Guild Hunter world.
And last but not least, the anthology An Enchanted Season, which includes my very first novella, is being re-released in mass market format in November. (It originally came out in trade paperback.)
BK: Busy, busy lady. You’re fans will be ecstatic. 🙂 What’s the best compliment you ever got on your writing or a book?
NS? I think when a reader writes to tell me that they couldn’t put down the book, that’s a wonderful compliment, because it tells me I’ve done what I set out to do—write a book that grabs you and doesn’t let go.
BK: If you could time travel to any time or place—the past or future—where and when would you go to, and why?
NS: It depends on my mood ““ at the moment, I think I’d like to go back to the time of exploration, when the world was full of uncharted corners. It would, I think, be a whole lot of fun to go find new places, new worlds.
BK: It’s been a real treat to have you here today, Nalini. Best of luck with all your upcoming releases!
