Welcome Anya Bast and a Giveaway of What Happens in Vegas After Dark
Friday, May 1st, 2009

We have the talented author Anya Bast here with us today.

I was lucky enough to meet Anya and her husband at RT last week–two very nice people. Leave Anya a comment or ask her a question about her books, and you’ll qualify to win a copy of the sexy anthology What Happens in Vegas…After Dark!

What Happens in Vegas…After Dark
Harlequin Spice
Release Date: May 1, 2009
Anya Bast’s story in this anthology is called THE PROMISE. It’s a prequel to THE DEAL, (WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS… the first anthology, released in 2008), and tells Damian’s story and how/why he came to jilt Cassidy at the altar on their wedding day.

Las Vegas… it’s the town that lives up to the promise of its nickname, Sin City. A gamblers’ paradise for innocent tourists, it conceals a darker, sexual world where the ethereal and wraithlike meet to play a different game….
When the half-blood fae male comes to Club Darkness, Elena can’t resist acting on the mind-blowing heat coursing between them. She might be betrothed to another, but fae culture says sex with other men until marriage is most definitely foretold.

Anya’s Interview

BK: Thank you for joining us here today, Anya!
What is sure to distract you from sitting down and working/writing?

AB: If it’s pretty outside, I might feel compelled to take my daughter to the zoo or the park. Mostly it depends on how motivated I am to work that day, If I’m blocked and think I’ll be staring at a blinking cursor, I might let something as mundane as laundry distract me.

BK: What are you working on presently? What about upcoming releases?

AB: I just finished up the first book in a new series for Berkley Sensation, titled Wicked Enchantment.

At this moment I’m working on a Berkley Heat book titled Jeweled. It’s a historical fantasy ménage a trois romance set in a world that draws from the French and Russian Revolutions, but with magick thrown in.

As for upcoming releases…Witch Fury, the last book in the Elemental Witches series, comes out in June. I have an anthology with Lora Leigh, Angela Knight and Allyson James releasing at the end of September called Hot for the Holidays. In October is another anthology called The Phantom Queen. It’s a busy year for me.

BK:Very busy! What’s the best compliment you ever got on your writing or a book?

AB: I once received an email from a woman who was close to ninety telling me I was one of her favorite authors. That was so awesome to hear.

BK: *Smile* Great answer, Anya. If you could time travel to any time or place—the past or future—where and when would you go to, and why?

AB: I’ve always been drawn to New York City during the Gilded Age. I wish I knew why, but I don’t. 🙂 I’d like to stop in, take a look around. Maybe I could figure why I’m so drawn to that place during that time.

BK: I agree with that one. Have you ever read the time travel books by Jack Finney–Time and Again was the first?
Thanks so much for stopping by today, Anya!

Okay everyone, leave Anya a comment to qualify to win a copy of her awesome sounding anthology–What Happens in Vegas…After Dark! And enter that big ol’ Daring Time Contest if you haven’t yet! The winners will be announced next Thursday!

    Hi Anya,
I am a big fan of anthologies too. I usually pick them up for an author I already follow, and get to hopefully discover other authors I don’t yet know, but end up loving.
I can’t wait to read this one, and am especially excited about your anthology with Lora Leigh!

I really hope I win the anthology. What I love about anthologies is that I get a chance to read novels and stories by new authors or authors I have been curious about. I have a Sony Book Reader, and what is great is when they bundle novels by similar authors. This of course, just compounds my romance addiction!!
