2. To enter, copy the code (click on ‘share’) of the graphic above and post it to your blog, Facebook, Myspace, Website, whereever you want to share it. Add a link to my blog from your blog, Facebook, Myspace, wherever you put the graphic, and say “Click here to enter the DARING TIME CONTEST.

You may use a smaller version of the graphic, if you prefer, for one of your sidebars. Just change the height and width in the code to “180” by “150”. (Thanks Ann Aguirre, I learned that from one of your past contests.)

3. Come back here and reply to this post with a link to your blog entry or wherever you’ve posted the graphic and your answer to the following question: If you could time travel anywhere, to the future or the past, where/when would you go and why?

4. If you don’t have a blog, or if you are having difficulty posting, you can still enter the contest. Here’s what you can do: Blog about the DARING TIME contest on your Facebook, Myspace page or post about it in a yahoo group. Just leave a comment about where you posted it and provide a link. No Facebook, Myspace or group? Then get creative. Share the contest with two friends, and leave a comment about who you told. Tell your book club about the book and the contest. This will have to be on the honor system. The whole point of the contest is to spread the word about DARING TIME, so if you can convince me in some way that you did that, you’re in! Don’t forget, no matter how you spread the word, be sure to leave a comment with links and information, and answer the “˜where/when would you time travel to?’ question. If you have not entered correctly, you will not be in the final drawing, so please follow the instructions.

5. The Grand Prize and Second Place Prize will be given away on May 8th. Everyone who enters the contest correctly will be in the running for the two prize packs listed in the graphic. Authors are eligible to win as well!

Thanks so much for a great contest! If I could time travel…I would want to go back to the old west…probably like 1800’s when the west was first being discovered, I think it would have been really cool to have travelled with Lewis and Clark like Sacajewia did…

    Hey there, Amy!

That would have been quite an adventure, wouldn’t it? To see the land so untamed and beautiful for the first time must have been something for those early explorers.

Thanks for the entry! Nice site you have.

Hello Beth! This is an awesome contest I must say! I don’t have much money to buy books anymore, so this is a really great treat for me to get a chance to get some books. I posted this at http://nightdweller20.livejournal.com/11265.html.

I know someone already said it, but I have to agree, I want to travel back and get me a tall, dark and sexy Highlander. Och, the kilts! The flowing black hair! *swoon*

I’ve guess I would like to go to the future. As long as they had something that does all the housework and cooking for you. So I could just spend the days reading my books. *sigh*
But part of me would just like to go back just a year ago so I could make the drive home to tell my grandmother how much I love her and how much she meant to me before she passed away. It bothers me so much that I wasn’t there, and couldn’t make it when she passed.

    Hi Ashley–Och, kilts and books!

    πŸ˜€ Thanks for your entry.

Flip–thanks so much for posting on myspace! Can you do me a favor and answer the time travel question? That way if your number is picked for the contest, I’ll know it’s a complete entry. πŸ˜€

I’d time travel to the past, to either Regency England or Medieval Scotland. These time periods and locations have always held a particular fascination for me. πŸ˜€

Really pretty blog you have there, Bonnie. I can completely understand your fascination. So many romantic stories are told about those time periods, one can’t help but wonder how it matched up to reality.

    Thanks for the entry, Bonnie!

forgot to comment on where I would time travel. Being a fan of Diana Gabaldon’s time travel series Outlander, I would want to time travel to Scotland. Men in kilts & swords, yum!

    Hi Booklover!

Thanks for posting on your very nice site!

Gabaldon’s books are such classics. If the time travel included Jamie, I’m sure half the readers here would be Scotland bound.

hey! It is my pleasure to spread the word about your up coming release.

    http://heathersreadingromance.blogspot.com/2009/04/daring-time-contest.html

I read Wicked Burn a couple of months ago and so look forward to reading more by you.

If I could time travel… it would definitely be to a time period in the distant past to either Ireland, Scotland or England. I am totally intrigued by these countries and all the history, I know its not as glamorous as the romance novels but I would still love to experience it.

Hi Heather! Nice site! (That man in a leather skirt–oy. lol)

You know, there is a lot of romance to those sites even today. The old houses and castles sort of exude it, IMO.

    Thanks for the entry, Heather.

Thanks for the compliments on my blog. It’s still in the beginning stages, and I have a whole list of changes to make, but it has been a lot of fun (and a lot of learning).

And I swear that I met a man that could be Jamie at my local Chase Bank one day. I had to stop and stare, and no lie he had a Scottish accent to go with the whole package. What he was doing in N. Indiana, I do not know, but as you can tell it was a memorable moment. Meeting someone that eptitomizes a character that you LOVE is quite the experience πŸ˜€

As you know, I’ve been spreading the word verbally as much as I can. But I also posted it today on my blog at: http://robynmichaels.wordpress.com/. I also added the info to my review at Goodreads.

Ooops, forgot to add where I’d time travel to if I could. I’d love to visit the Roaring Twenties – maybe in Chicago – and see all the speakeasies and flappers and gangsters. Just wouldn’t want to cross any of them…lol

Hi Robin! Thanks so much. I just left a comment on your blog.

I’d love to tour Chicago sites with you. It’d be so cool. We recently went to a restaurant where the waiters would let you tour the old speakeasy passageways. It was an old Capone warehouse (for bibles, of course. lol)

    April 19th, 2009 at 2:02 pm · Link

Hey Beth! Congrats on the upcoming release! I just cannot wait! I posted it on two of my blogs:

    http://www.cookinupsomethingcrazy.blogspot.com and also http://www.readinsomethingcrazy.blogspot.com

Its at the bottom so I made sure to put a blog entry telling everyone about it.

Then, I stuck it on my Facebook profile as well: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=602994160&ref=profile

I used to think that I knew where I’d want to go back in time to, but now, I’m just not sure. I’d love to go back to Chicago during the 1920’s, just to see and experience it all… but then, I think I’d also like to go to Ireland in the ancient days too… Oh, and you can’t forget moving into the future to meet my great grandchildren and their children…

Yeah, I’m conflicted, but then, do you expect any less out of me?

Hey there, Jeanette! Thanks so much. It would be fascinating. I always think the difference is that you’d have to be okay with being clueless to go into the future, whereas time travel into the past would afford you at least a small measure of know it all. lol. Both would take serious courage, because you’d be out of your comfort zone, but in the future, maybe more so.
