Just of a little note of warning that site-work is underway at my website. The site will remain up, but little anomalies like disappearing covers, etc. may or may not occur while you are browsing. More news on the site changes yet to come!
Lea has done it again, making a terrific new video for the awesome Larissa Ione’s Sin Undone! Check it out!
Okay, they aren’t many updates, admittedly. Chicago rocks around me–Gay Pride Parade, Cross Town Classic, and Taste of Chicago are all going on, and I’m working away diligently. :) Not complaining, though. Work is a good thing.
Nicole Morgan was kind enough to interview me at her blog. If you have a chance, go over and comment. One commenter will win a copy of Velvet Cataclysm. I talk in general, but also about my upcoming Berkley book, Explosive.
Hope you guys are good. The delicious days of summer treating you well?
#11, Leni! Leni, please write me with your address and I’ll send those books off to you from Amazon.
Thanks to everyone who participated. It sounds like Rosemary Rogers definitely started some people on the romance path (and probably opened a few eyes, too–lol).
Have a terrific, productive week!
Greetings! Sorry I’ve been a bit blog negligent. I’ve been working on my Silhouette Special Edition series, Harbor Town and trying to enjoy my summer before it blows by in a hot breeze!
How familiar are you with the Silhouette Special Edition line at Harlequin? It’s a line that I chose because of the strong emotional romances and family themes involved. Such romance greats as Debbie Macomber, Sherryl Woods, Susan Mallery and Linda Lael Miller are Silhouette Special Edition authors.
Next Monday, I’ll give away these three books in the Susan Mallery Hometown Heartbreakers Collection from Sillhouette Special Edition.
To enter, just complete the sentence: The first romance book I ever remember reading was….
No idea where that title came from, except that I WAS watching a John Travolta bio last night where they played Olivia Newton John and him singing the Grease version of said title. :)
The Lori Foster event was great–relaxed, laid back and fun. I had breakfast with my agent and fellow Bradford Bunch chicks, Beth Williamson and Jess Granger. One night I had dinner with Mary G, who took all the way from Canada to attend! It was so great to meet her in person, and I’m so, so grateful she came. Another night I had dinner with Lexington Book Club Group–Amelia, Dawn, Mahlet and Beverly plus friend Sabra and Mary G, which was tons of fun. We talked how men think vs. women, among many other things, and had a ball. For the book signing, I sat at a table with authors Beth Williamson, Shiloh Walker and HelenKay Dimon. It was my first time meeting HelenKay, and she seemed like a smart cookie, in addition to being very warm. I was so lucky to win one, but TWO Becke Martin Davis gift baskets, and I’m here to tell you, they were STUFFED with good stuff. I’m still jealous of Shiloh Walker for winning the Circle of Seven book video, but thanks to Becke’s baskets, I was a happy romance writer. :)
Yesterday, I finished my novella for the Berkley anthology with Emma Holly, Lauren Dane and Megan Hart. We also got word yesterday that the anthology comes out in May 2011 and has the theme, Three to Tengo!
Now, it’s time to focus on that Harbor Town series for Silhouette Special Edition. Yay!
Well, that’s it for now. Off to have coffee with Julie James and talk publishing and authoring.
Talk to you soon!

I’m off to Lori Foster’s event tomorrow, so I’m announcing the winner of Gateway to Heaven a little early. :)
The winner if Carol L., #2. Carol, write to me at bethkery@aol.com to claim your prize.
Thanks for participating and learning a bit about an old favorite. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Hello all! It’s hard sometimes to familiarize readers with backlists. There’s new and exciting stuff out there, and sometimes older books get forgotten. Gateway to Heaven remains to date one of my favorite Beth Kery books. :) It’s not an erotic, which is why I think it has been overlooked at times. It is very sexy and sensual, though, for those who have doubts.
Gateway is a love story between two unlikely lovers: a gorgeous rock star who has grown weary of his life and career and a young woman that has been protected by her family and community for years due to an awful event from her childhood, a high profile case of sexual abuse that left the community reeling in shock. My heroine, Megan, can’t even remember the event, but nevertheless, her entire life and character have been formed by it. Enter Christian Lasher, who sees her only as a desirable, beautiful woman, and Megan starts to see herself in a whole new light.
I think this is a very unique, tender and sexy romance, and I’d like to share a part of it with you. I’ve posted the entire Chapter One of Gateway to Heaven here. It’s a hefty chapter, too, so I think you’ll really get a feel for these rich characters and the vibrant community where they live. Leave a comment on the chapter to win and I’ll give away a copy of Gateway to Heaven to one commenter next Friday.

I’ve busy, busy writing my novella for the Berkley Heat anthology. As soon as I finish that, I’ll be moving on to the Silhouette Special Edition Harbor Town series, and my summer will be mostly consumed with that. What kind of summer plans do you have for the long, hot, lazy (hopefully ) summer days? Any vacation plans? I don’t have any until my annual Lake Tahoe trip in September. By the way, my novella for the anthology is set in Lake Tahoe, one of my favorite places in the entire world.
Also, coming up is the Lori Foster event in Cincinnati! Hopefully I’ll get to meet some new people and chat with some old friends.
My latest novel is Velvet Cataclysm from Samhain. For those of you who haven’t read it yet, I’m giving away a copy of it to one commenter on this blog. If you already have Velvet Cataclysm, you may choose a back title from my ebook list–and thanks for buying Velvet Cataclysm!
5 Lips from Two Lips Reviews–I was enthralled. I can’t wait for the next part to come out. I’ll be anxiously waiting. I’d recommend this read to anyone and everyone.
5 Stars from Lea Closetwriter–Velvet Cataclysm is a fast paced, action packed, and emotional erotic paranormal romance that had my adrenalin flowing and heart twisting.
