Eden B.! Congrats, Eden, and thanks for stoping by!

Welcome Vivian Arend! Five Book Giveaway
Thursday, May 26th, 2011

BK: Welcome Viv! It’s a pleasure to have you at the Addicted to You contest!
How long have you been writing? What are your aspirations as a writer?

I’m a baby writer in many ways. Wrote my first romance in 2008, published for the first time in 2009. Totally give credit to having read a million books prior to starting for being able to move so quickly between beginning and getting published.

Aspirations? I’m a simple soul. While there are bright shinys out there, I tend toward the goals I have some control over. Ie, I can’t MAKE myself an award-winning author, but I can improve my craft on every book. I can try to learn new skills, such as writing the same couples in consecutive books, or having issues that cross over multiple books in a series. Someday, I might even attempt a story written in first person. I’m currently very happy with my publisher, Samhain Publishing, and enjoying my digital-first career. (ie, my books all come out first in ebook format, and then in print after about a year)

Bottom line—I want to write the best books I can. Making myself and my readers happy is bonus goodness.

BK: I have read that you are quite a traveler and outdoors-woman. Are the Xtreme Adventures based on your own travels and adventures?

That’s a scary question.

YES, most of my stories have a basis in some adventure my family and I have experienced over the years. Hiking, skiing, getting lost in the wilderness. Even living in small towns versus being in the big city…I think people can tell where my heart lies from the stories I write.

I love getting to share settings that are a little more remote—the Pacific Inside Passage, the Yukon and Alaska. Or like in the Xtreme Adventures where the activities include downhill skiing (FALLING, FREESTYLE) and rock climbing (RISING, FREESTLYE), with future books including ocean kayaking and white water rafting. I love to try new things in the outdoors, and being able to write accurately about the sports makes me happy.

The NO part of the answer? I am happily married to one man. Any sexual exploits in my books, I give credit to poetic license and a vivid imagination.

BK: Do you have an especially memorable moment that stands out in your career as a writer—a moment where you realized you’d ‘arrived’ or a particularly special memory that will always stick with you?

I don’t think I feel like a writer yet, certainly not all the time. I’m having too much fun for this to be a real job. But I will say that the first time I got an email from a reader who told me how much they’d enjoyed the book, and that I “got it right” in regards to a situation…priceless. Giving people a chance to escape for a little while is something I’m very onboard with.

BK: What’s next for you?

After RISING, FREESTYLE releases July 5, I’ve got first books in three different series coming! All special for different reasons.

Starting in August, there’s a red-hot Australian luxury resort-set ménage series. What makes this unique are the three books that begin the series all overlap each other—same location, same time frame, different heroes and heroines. To add to the fun, each of the books has a different author–two Aussies and a Canuck. Look for PARADISE FOUND (by me), TROPICAL SIN (Lexxie Couper) and ISLAND IDYLL (Jess Dee). Oh, and did I mention there’s a free read we all wrote together? EXOTIC INDULGENCE will release August 23 from Samhain Publishing.

September 13 the first in the Takhini Wolves begins the spin off series from the popular Granite Lake Wolves. If you like paranormal with a twist of sarcasm, check out BLACK GOLD.

And finally, in November the Six Pack Ranch moves to Samhain Publishing. The first two books in the series have been rewritten and added to, and you can meet or meet again the men who work the Coleman ranch. ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT is a red-hot small town setting with contemporary cowboys. Yeha? ;)

If you want more information about any of these books, or my previous stories, you can track me down me various places.

Now for a little fun! I’ve got four ebook copies of the first book in the Xtreme Adventures, FALLING, FREESTYLE to give to commenters. This book is available right now. I also have one eARC of RISING, FREESTLYE, which doesn’t release until July 5!

To be entered, what’s the most Xtreme sport you’ve ever dreamed about trying? Sky diving? Scuba? Underwater twiddiewinks?

Never venture out of bounds without a buddy–preferably two.
Xtreme Adventures, Book 1

Dara’s past four incredible years have been lived to the fullest. Along with her best friends, Kane and Jack, she’s left no local wilderness unexplored, no ski slope unchallenged. Yet lately she wonders why they’ve never seen her as more than a buddy with breasts. When—or if—either man will cross that unspoken line.

It’s a line Kane eyes harder every day. Since high school, he and Jack have shared everything. A condo, vacations—and their best girl. Kane’s ready to get serious about his wilderness school and outfitter business, and that includes putting down roots. Preferably with Dara.

Wary of the men who’ve recently been sniffing around Dara, Jack has a growing sense that he or Kane better make a move soon, or they’re going to lose out on their perfect match. Question is, who does she prefer…and who’s going to bring their easygoing trio to an end?

Overhearing the boys arguing over her, Dara’s floored—and torn. Choose between them? No way. Drastic measures are called for, a plan for their annual holiday getaway that will clarify her feelings once and for all—or lose everything in a sexual storm of whiteout proportions.

Warning: Old friends turned lovers can get into the most trouble—exhibitionism, bondage, spanking. Anal sex, oral sex, unauthorized use of ski safety harnesses, icicles in the hot tub…the author apologizes in advance for any melted monitors.

Stuck between a rock-solid man and a hard place…
Xtreme Adventures, Book Two

Coming July 5, 2011

Melanie Dixon’s body may have recovered from a horrific climbing accident, but her nerve is long gone. So is the natural enthusiasm for life she took for granted. Tired of being scared, beyond ready to conquer her fears, she pulls up stakes and moves to her brother’s new hometown to start over. Her first step is the most terrifying—to tackle the wall at the local climbing center.

Derrick James is mesmerized by Melanie’s dark beauty, and equally impressed with her climbing abilities and determination. Watching her retune rusty skills spurs a desire to partner with her—on and off the ropes. Melanie’s a compelling mix of wit, sensuality and vulnerability, and it’s his delicious task to convince her the scars on her body are no match for the heat rising between them.

Then a man from Melanie’s past shows up, pushing their relationship to the edge. Nathan King wants photographs for a “where are they now” series, but his side agenda is more personal in nature. A proposal that brings her out of her sensual shell and onto a precarious sexual ledge. Where trust is crucial…and too easily shattered.

Warning: This book may cause heart-pounding, body-shaking adrenaline attacks—and that’s before they leave the climbing gym. Contains blindfolds, ropes and a healthy dose of voyeurism. Go on—you know you like to watch.

Ebook available pre-order: Samhain|Amazon |Barnes & Noble

Remember to answer Vivian’s question to qualify for her generous giveaway! She has four ebooks to give away of Falling and an e-ARC of Rising! And don’t forget to comment for the Kindle giveaway at the Addicted to You contest, if you haven’t done so yet.

Juniper Bell and a Giveaway!
Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Once upon a time I wrote a book called “Training the Receptionist”. I was in a strange mood at the time–a kind of bratty, thumb-your-nose-at-the-world mood. I’d never written in first person before, but this book insisted on it. Seriously, it bugged me until I gave in and wrote the whole story from my heroine’s point of view.

And wow, did she have a point of view! Sassy, full of attitude, quick with a wisecrack … but also deeply vulnerable and in need of love and respect. She kept things lively as she went through a very naughty “training” period with her sexy boss, Simon Dirk.

I loved this character, and readers seemed to as well. But she wasn’t satisfied with one book … oh no! Not my Dana. So here I go again, letting her tell another story, this one called Restraining the Receptionist. At the end of the first book, the firm’s senior partner, Ethan Cowell, entered the picture. So now she’s got two sexy bosses to contend with. This time, the mysterious Ethan Cowell takes the spotlight. Dana has her hands full, which is just how she likes it.

Two books later, I still shake my head at this character. Dana and I couldn’t be more different, yet when I sit down to write these books, she’s there. Stubborn, snarky, sexy, a woman who’s not afraid of her desires. I’m honestly not sure where she came from. Perhaps I should consult a therapist. ;)

In the meantime, she’s fun to write and I hope you find her fun to read. Here’s the blurb and an excerpt from “Restraining the Receptionist”, coming June 14 from Samhain Publishing. And thanks so much to Beth Kery for including me in her celebration of her upcoming release, “Addicted to You”.

Every deal has a loophole.

…the Receptionist, Book 2

Dana Arthur’s new job with the firm of Cowell & Dirk is going well. Translation: the occasionally kinky ménage with her two bosses, Ethan and Simon, has been several months of politically incorrect bliss.

Except the relationship feels unbalanced. While Ethan is the undisputed master, the partners’ iron-clad agreement stipulates that Simon must be present as she performs her “duties”. And she senses there’s a subtle, powerful tug-of-war developing for more than just her body.

Simon had agreed to share the firm’s fiery, sensually daring receptionist…to a point. With Simon out of town, Ethan plans a feast of erotic temptations designed to have Dana begging him to break the deal. He didn’t realize his heart would be a casualty.

Once she surrenders to his wicked demands, Dana realizes there’s no going back. It’s time for a three-way renegotiation…this time, all or nothing.

…the Receptionist, Book 2

Enjoy the following ADULT excerpt for Restraining the Receptionist:

My unpredictable number one boss showed up in a new mood the next day. I’d never seen him light-hearted before. Now that I had an idea about his history, not a big surprise. But that’s exactly how he seemed when he breezed into the office. He wore casual clothes, blue jeans and a light blue open-collared shirt that made his eyes look like summer without the smog.
“I’ve got no pesky clients today, luv,” he told me, without pausing by my desk to check my outfit, which he usually did. “I’d like you to order us a picnic lunch.”
“Huh?”
“Picnic. You have those in America, right? Or are they banned in the great state of New York?”
“We have them, but you can’t even spread out a blanket without kicking aside a stray used needle or two.” As soon as I said it I remembered the heroin. “I…I’m sorry,” I stammered.
But my thoughtless reference didn’t make him miss a beat. “A little local color will add to the experience, I’m sure. Handle the details and we’ll go around noon.”
Did a picnic violate the terms of our deal? Ethan and I would be doing something outside of work, just the two of us, something intimate. Almost like a date. But he hadn’t suggested anything physical. It was lunch. We both had to eat, right? It seemed perfectly harmless.
Since I was working from the company petty cash fund, I called up the neighborhood yuppie café where they served giant organic sandwiches. On my budget, I would have gone for a Subway footlong. But Ethan would no doubt demand something better.
We held our picnic on a concrete bench in a sweltering park a few blocks away from the office. Dog walkers and stroller-pushers, listless from the heat, wandered by now and then, but otherwise we were alone. The humid heat pressed on us like a steam iron. My hair stuck to my cheeks as I bit into my upscale sandwich.
Ethan didn’t comment on the slabs of free-range chicken that had probably been hand-raised and read bedtime stories before being slaughtered and inserted into a sandwich. He did remove the unruly mound of bean sprouts and toss it to a nearby pigeon. The pigeon pecked at the stuff, clucked scornfully and waddled the other direction.
I couldn’t help giggling at Ethan’s wounded expression. “I wouldn’t take it personally,” I told him. “He’s a New York pigeon. He’s used to eating dog crap.”
He chuckled. “Have you lived here your whole life, Dana?”
The sheer ordinariness of the question unnerved me. “Well, except for that semester abroad in Paris, and the year I spent in Fiji with the Peace Corps. I’m joking,” I added, when he didn’t laugh.
“Oh. Well, I’m certainly familiar with your sense of humor, but I confess I don’t understand the joke. You could have done those things.”
I let out a spurt of laughter that startled the pigeon. “I had other things to do.”
“Like what?”
“Like dodge my father’s fists after a drinking binge.”
“Ah.” Ethan didn’t show sympathy or disapproval or anything else. He chewed on his stack of multi-grain goodness. “And your mother?”
“No clue. My father always said she ran away, but for all I know he has her body dismembered in a freezer somewhere.”
That earned me a sharp taste of Blue Fury.
“I’m kidding. I have a dark sense of humor. My father’s not that bad. And my stepmother would have gone for poison instead.”
A crack of laughter from Ethan. “You really are something, you know that? You fascinate me.”
I filled my mouth with sandwich so I didn’t have to answer that. I was very much afraid the fascination was mutual. We settled into a munching, digesting kind of silence. He had one ankle crossed over the opposite knee, and occasionally his bent leg would brush against mine. Every time it happened, a little jolt of awareness zinged straight to my groin. Did he know it was happening? Was he doing it deliberately?
“Your knee keeps touching me.”
“Does it?” He didn’t move away.
“That’s against the rules.”
“So sorry.” But he didn’t look sorry. He looked entirely unconcerned, even though he moved his knee away. “One of these days we must write these rules down. For instance, is all physical contact forbidden while Simon is away, or only that of a sexual nature?”
Lord, why did he have to say “sexual” with that spark in his eyes and that slant of his eyebrow? It wasn’t fair, damn it.
“Another example. I’ve been longing to tell you how delicious you look today and how the shadow of your nipples through the fabric of your blouse keeps drawing my eyes. But is verbal praise also off-limits, since I’d be unable to keep it G-rated, I’m afraid?”
“You can’t see my nipples through my blouse!” I looked down to make sure.
“Oh, yes, I can. I know what they’re doing right now. They’re just beginning to stir to life. You’re probably feeling a pleasant prickling as they become engorged. I’ve realized something about you, you know. The sound of my voice has a powerful effect on you.”
So right he was. I tried to block out his voice. Might as well try to stop the Hudson River.
“In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if I could bring you to orgasm just with my voice. I wouldn’t have to touch you at all. All I’d have to do is tell you what I wanted to do to you. I’d tell you how much I want to bend you over this bench and take you in the open air. Or how much I’d like to tie you to that birch tree over there, open your blouse and bring you to orgasm with my fist up your cunt. Sure, someone might see. For instance, those three fellows playing Frisbee over there. It’s entirely possible they’d start to notice when I tied your hands behind the tree and ripped off your blouse. Maybe they’d even come running to your rescue.”
His gravelly voice hypnotized me so I could practically picture the scene. My body melted into a shivery puddle of craving.
“And then, of course, I’d have no choice but to invite them to join us, either as witnesses or participants. They look like red-blooded, able-bodied, clean-cut gentlemen, nothing to fear. I’d have to convince them you were willing. More than willing. Eager. I’d have to show them how wet you already were, just from having your breasts exposed. You like being exposed, don’t you?”
“Stop,” I murmured. This was going into an area we’d never touched. Other men had had no place in our games so far.
As soon as I told him to stop, he did. And as soon as he did, I wanted him to start again. After all, what was the harm? He was going there in imagination only.
“Well…” I cleared my throat. “Would you let them touch my breasts?”
“I’d give them a chance, see how they behaved. Not just anyone gets to touch my Dana. Our Dana, I should say.”
I winced at the reminder of the absent Simon. But I was too caught up in Ethan’s hypothetical scenario to be bothered for long.
“Our Dana’s luscious nipples deserve nothing other than sweet tender care. Long, lingering suckles. Perhaps a man to each nipple, and one to jerk himself off as he watches. That should get you started, I’d say. You’d be making those adorable little whimpering sounds. But perhaps I’d begin to sense that you want more, that you need the grip of cold metal on your flesh.”
The image made my belly clench with need. My nipples were as hard as the bench we sat on. I thought I would suffocate if this went on much longer. I turned a pleading look on him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of nipple clamps.
This was way over the line, totally against our rules, but I banished that thought from my mind. I nodded, biting my lip. I didn’t care who watched as he reached inside my blouse and fastened the silver clips to my nipples. The sweet pain of it made me sag against him and sigh. Exquisite relief flooded me. I leaned against him as if he were a boulder. When I looked down, the clips were clearly visible through my blouse. But I didn’t care. Ethan would take care of me.

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Welcome to the Addicted to You Contest! I hope you’ll celebrate with me the debut of my upcoming new series at Berkley Heat, One Night of Passion. It’s all about a romance that starts with a night of impulsive, scorching sex that is later regretted, but nevertheless leads to a lifetime of love and passion between two special people. Yes…I have a number of great stories in mind for this group of interrelated family and friends.

And it’s under a new pen name, Bethany Kane. Yep, but it’s still me, writing in a similar vein to Wicked Burn or Explosive.

I’ll let you know more about my friends-to-sizziling-hot-romance couple, Rill and Katie, over the next few weeks. But for now….here’s a bit about my contest, and three ways to win:

1. Eight terrific authors will be here to celebrate with us and to tell us about their amazing books between May 25 and June 3. Each author will give away a special prize.

2. On June 6th, I’ll announce the winner of my grand prize: a brand new Kindle 3G, or a gift certificate for $189.00 at Amazon , the cost of the Kindle. This way, the contest is open internationally and to Kindle and non-Kindle owners. If you choose the Kindle, I’ll also pay for shipping and handling, of course. If you choose a gift certificate, the grand prize is for a $189.00 gift certificate (e-gift card) to spend as you want at Amazon. To enter, just leave a comment HERE on this post.

3. If you copy the widgit below (or a small one to the left) and put it on your blog/facebook/website page, I’ll enter you in a separate drawing. I’ll choose THREE people who copy the widgit in a public forum, and give away THREE $10 dollar Amazon gift cards between May 25 to June 3. Just tell me in the same comment where you enter for the Kindle where you posted the widget, I’ll check to see if it’s there. If it is, I’ll announce the winner who posted here, and contact that poster individually to tell them about their prize. I’ll handle all that for you. You post, you comment, you stand to get a $10 dollar Amazon gift card from me, IN ADDITION, to being in the Kindle drawing. I use a random number generator to choose winners, so technically, if you post the widgit at your site, you could win the Kindle AND one or several gift cards.

Once again: The posting of the widgit is not necessary to enter the Kindle/$189 Amazon gift certificate contest. Anyone may enter that portion of the contest. You just leave a comment Here to enter the grand prize. Period. Do nothing but leave a comment, and you are up for the Kindle. Three to Tango: a $25 Gift Certificate Giveaway
Monday, May 2nd, 2011

I’m thrilled and excited to be part of the upcoming Three to Tango anthology with talented authors Emma Holly, Lauren Dane and Megan Hart, coming out tomorrow! Woo Hoo! This one is a real smoker, involving four erotic fiction authors blazing hot interpretations of the love triangle theme. Leave a comment HERE to be in the draw for a $25 dollar Amazon e-card giveaway this Friday!

Four of erotic fiction’s most talented authors carry readers away with all-new tales of ecstasy that prove that the most delectable things in life come in threes…Sex is best when it’s one-on-one…plus one.

In Emma Holly’s FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA, Shay and Liam shared an unforgettable night with their lifelong friend, Chelsea, awakening a rush of forbidden feelings—feelings they have to reckon with when the three reunite, and the unrequited lust between them is too much to bear.

Though Ava left her hard-knock Georgia childhood behind, she never forgot Luca and Angelo. Together they were best friends with a bond that could never be broken. But when she returns, the three must decide whether to face the fires that burn between them, or forgo their desires forever in Lauren Dane’s DIRTY/BAD/WRONG.

In Megan Hart’s JUST ONE NIGHT, fun-loving couple Kerry and Jeremy find themselves in a triangle of trouble when Kerry’s old crush, Brian, returns for a school reunion, and Jeremy gives her his enthusiastic approval to seduce him. But while Jeremy has no trouble sharing Kerry, Brian isn’t sure he can handle what’s coming.

Years ago, Walker walked out on Madeline when she needed him most. Now, the ex-Secret Service agent is back—hired to protect both Madeline and their billionaire friend, Tony. Madeline is determined to make him pay for denying her desires—and she’s not above bringing Tony in to sweeten the deal in Bethany Kane’s ON THE JOB.

Read an Excerpt
He was back there, watching her. He was on the job, and Madeline knew better than most how important his job was to him. He wouldn’t abandon it, even if he had abandoned her. She held him in a trap, and it was sweet . . . delicious to torment him for his sense of duty, to make him pay for his noble intentions.

She reminded him of what he’d sacrificed as she stroked her erect nipples beneath a hot Tahoe sun. So what if they’d just been kids at the time, fools suffering from the heatstroke of a wild infatuation? She’d needed him, and he’d failed her. First Madeline’s father had died unexpectedly, then Walker had left. Madeline’s hurt had changed to anger over the years. Eventually, the sting had faded.

It had, anyway, until she’d walked onto the terrace this morning and seen Walker Gray talking to Tony.

Her clit begged for attention, but Madeline refrained. With effort. She longed to punish him, not only for eleven years ago, but for having the temerity to suddenly appear again in her life. His brisk, professional manner made a mockery of the fact that she’d been floored by his unexpected presence. He’d barely said two dozen words to her since Tony had asked her if she recalled their old friend from their high school and college days, Walker Gray.

She recalled, all right.

She’d make sure the bastard remembered just as graphically.

She sat up and took a sip from her glass of iced hibiscus tea mixed with lemonade. Her fingers strayed to the tie at her back. She pulled slowly on the string. She tossed the flimsy top next to the sweating glass and stretched out again on the dock.

It wasn’t a big deal. She sunbathed topless once in a while on Tony’s boat. True, she’d never gotten the impression that her bare breasts had received any of the focused interest from Tony as they once had from the man who stood behind her in the yard. Sure, she’d never have done it if it were another one of Tony’s employees standing guard. The point was, Madeline was perfectly comfortable sunbathing topless in this situation.

Perfectly aroused.

She doubted very seriously she would have ever cupped her breasts in her slick hands from below, making the nipples point upward, like dark pink arrows, to the sky even in front of Tony, but the heretofore unprotected parts of her skin needed SPF, didn’t they?
It felt good, so warm, so arousing . . . so powerful.

She let one hand trail across the sensitive skin at the sides of her ribs and across her belly. Her clit beckoned. It burned in protest at being ignored. She slipped two fingers beneath the top of her bikini panties. Her labia were moist and swollen. She slid a finger into the juicy cleft and moaned in pleasure.

Was he suffering? God, she hoped so.

Her eyes popped open a few seconds later when she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. He’d moved so quietly, and she’d been so involved in her little game, she’d never heard his tread on the dock.

“What—?”

“Surely you’re not going to ask me what I’m doing, Madeline.” She saw his clamped jaw and her shocked reflection in the mirrored lenses of his sunglasses. “Because I would have thought that was obvious. I’m giving you what you’ve been asking for.”

She gasped in surprise when he slid his forearm beneath her thighs and lifted. The next thing she knew she was flying down the dock in Walker Gray’s arms.

Bunny Hop Giveaway (and Controversial Books)
Thursday, April 14th, 2011

Welcome to the Bunny Hop!

Yesterday I saw the 10 Most Challenged Book List released by the American Library Association and got a smile out of it. (The ALA isn’t challenging these books as an organization, by the way, they are designating ‘controversial books’ or books that were most frequently challenged). As a writer of erotic romance, among other genres, I empathized with authors of books on that list. As a reader, I admit that the list sounded like a ‘must read’ list vs. anything I’d avoid because of controversial matter.

For instance:

5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Reasons: Sexually Explicit, Unsuited to Age Group, Violence
OR
3. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Reasons: Insensitivity, Offensive Language, Racism, Sexually Explicit

Umm…Brave New World was sexually explicit? And I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews from authors Tracy Wolff and Julie James about The Hunger Games. Sometimes, you have to wonder about people who doth protest so much about books. Do they not realize that’s going to make the books that much more appealing, probably most notably to the audience thery are trying to ‘protect?’
.
I’m putting together my own warnings for my upcoming novella, On the Job, which can be found in the Three to Tango anthology with Emma Holly, Lauren Dane and Megan Hart, to be released in May, 2011. (I’ll be writing as Bethany Kane for this). Reasons: Offensive Language, Sexually Explicit, Menage a Trois, Potential for reading addiction. Okay, I made up that last part, but given who I’m in the anthology with, and the spicy theme, there might be some potential. And yes, I assume there would be people out there who would find this anthology controversial. Strike that. If The Hunger Games is deemed controversial, Three to Tango would be considered incendiary and downright indecent.

So don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Here’s a bit about Three to Tango. Be sure to look for my first novel under Bethany Kane—another smoker that requires dire warnings—called Addicted to You, out June, 2011.

Back from RT 2011

I’m back! Exhausted, but glad to say this was the best RT I’ve yet attended. Why? I’m trying to figure that out. For one thing, it was comfortable and laid back, and for lack of a better word, classy. Plus, the west coast seemed to offer a plethora of talent for the panels. For instance, I was held spellbound by D.P. Lyle’s–physician and author of Forensics for Dummies– panel on forensic science. He made it specific for writers, and was he a goldmine of relevant and interesting information. Needless to say, I downloaded his book and gobbled it up on my plane ride home. Among other panels of interest was Dean Koontz’s talk for authors. He’s funny and wise. Here’s a photo–that’s him sitting there at the table in front of the microphone. Sorry, but with all the avid authors and Dean’s bodyguards, getting a photo was difficult.

I sat on two workshop panels myself. Here’s a photo of the panel for How to Create Emotionally Intense Love Scenes, which I thought went really well. My panel-mates are some very smart ladies. Below, from left to right, me, Tracy Wolff, HelenKay Dimon, Lauren Dane, Megan Hart.

Of course, what’s RT without the opportunity to meet up with friends, bloggers, authors and readers?

And what would RT be without the Mr. Romance competition? Mr. Romance is the short-haired, dark guy in the middle. His name was Len.
