Nominate Your Fave Erotic Romance of 2009, Qualify for a Book on Friday!
Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Last year, my husband and I had a blast doing the brackets at DA BWAHA. This year, I didn’t get around to making a bracket, but Julie James is fighting through the contest at this very moment with her terrific book, Practice Makes Perfect, so I’ve been over there to vote. Yay Julie! If you’d like to go over and vote for your favorites of 2009 at DA BWAHA, click here.

DA BWAHA didn’t have an erotic romance category this year. Since I write erotic romance, I thought it’d be fun to do my own (much smaller and more modest, but no less fun) contest here at my blog! There were some terrific erotic romances written in 2009, so let’s give those authors a nod and shout out! (Please note I’m not including myself in this contest).

Here’s how it’ll work:

1. Leave comments here this week with your favorite erotic romance of 2009. It can be an ebook, print book, novel or novella. (Check the publication date to make sure it’s a 2009 book). One vote per participant. Note: You many mention several books, but please make it clear which book you are nominating, or your comment will have to be disregarded. Anyone who participates in the nominations will be in the draw for their choice of an erotic romance. (Choices listed below) Drawing this FRIDAY, March 27th.

2. On Friday, I will gather all the nominations and make up a poll, which will go up this weekend. Participants will be directed how to vote in the poll. The following Friday, I will announce the winner with the most votes.
In addition, one voter will be chosen randomly to win the THREE remaining erotic romance books! This drawing will be on April 2nd.

3. None of my books will be included in the poll.

So nominate away! Remember, your nominations must be an erotic romance, ebook or print, novel or novella, published in 2009, NOT one of my books and you need to make clear ONE book, even if you mention several faves, or your entry will have to be disqualified.

Here are the four books up for the draw.

Laid Bare by Lauren Dane ~~ I LOVE Lauren’s writing, and while her paranormals are usually my fav’s, she’s outdone herself on this series.

With that being said, I am going to go with Sweet Persuasion by Maya Banks. Oh wow did I love that book!!

Hmm… Branded as Trouble, another of Lorelei’s is good, but I’ll go with Erin McCarthy’s Hard and Fast.

And ditto what Amy said! It’d be hard to narrow down just one of yours!

oi…this is going to be difficult…I read so many excellent books that to try and narrow it down is definitely a challenge.

By the way, I think this was a most excellent idea since DA BWAHA was a rather overwhelming challenge for me. This way I can at least participate in some way to nominate a great 2009 book release.

I’m going to have to nominate Becoming Three by Cameron Dane. I think that it was an awesome read and that it definitely needs to be must-read for those who haven’t checked it out yet.

Well, since I can’t nominate one of your books Beth (and darn I had one picked out.. lol) I’m going to nominate “Riding Temptation” by Jaci Burton.

I love her Wild Riders Series.

BTW I also love the Sydney Croft books but haven’t read “Taming The Fire” yet.

    Best πŸ˜€

Having a hard time remembering what I read in 2009. Because I read so many interesting books.

I think I’m gonna nominate Destiny of the Wolf by Terry Spears, I’m still reading it but it’s pretty good so far and I loved Heart of the Wolf so I think at least one of Ms. Spears books deserves a nomination. πŸ˜€

    Hi Beth
Too bad Sweet Restraint & the rest of yours are out of the running. This was hard because I found so many great books last year but the publishing date wasn’t 2009.

    I vote for:
    Dangerous Passions-Lisa Marie Rice

    Honorable Mention:
Chains, Beautiful Girl & Fragile all by
    Shiloh Walker
Riding On Instinct & Dare To Love both by
    Jaci Burton
    Felicity Stripped Bare- Vanessa Jaye
Tie Me Down – Tracy Wolff
    Laid Bare- Lauren Dane
    Dance Of Seduction-Elle Kennedy
    Lots of keepers there.

😎 Dang, you really had ME think. A lot of erotic reads out there this year but I think my favorite was “Butterfly Unpinned” a deep BDSM story by Bonnie Dee and Laura Bacchi from Samhain Publishing. Thanks for allowing me the chance to nominate. Since I live in Chicago, I will promise now NOT to vote early and often when the picks are placed!

It’s hard to narrow it down to one because there have been so many great erotic romances over the past year. But, since choosing one is the whole point, I’m going to go with Thief of Light by Denise Rossetti.

I ordered Practice Makes Perfect on your recommendation. Thanks. πŸ™‚

I’m a big fan of Joey W. Hill. For 2009 (trade paperback edition) I’d vote for _Rough Canvas_ by her.

I have all of her Nature of Desire series by Joey W. Hill and highly recommend them. I particularly like Natural Law, Ice Queen and Mirror of My Soul (which should be read in this order). Rough Canvas is a later (2009) release.

I have all Beth Kery books published in paper back. Wish I could vote for Release or Sweet Restraint. Not sure of the publication dates but know I ordered both in 2009. Those are two favorites off hand. There are others. πŸ™‚
