Please welcome back Bradford buddy and the author of one of the first erotic romances I ever read (The Maiden and the Monster) Michelle Pillow. I recommend Michelle’s books wholeheartedly. She’s here today to tell us about Divinity Warrior: Lilith Enraptured. She’s giving away an e-book of Lilith Enraptured on Wednesday evening to one lucky commenter on her feature!

About Divinity Warriors:

In one of the many universes parallel to ours, Divinity Corporation has discovered the secret to moving between the planes. This has given them the power to do pretty much whatever they want without consequence or regulation. Whether it’s to ship unwilling brides in trade for minerals rights, to control everything from entertainment circuits to governments to academia, or simply gain that which every greedy corporation wants–Power.

About Lilith Enraptured:

Sorin of Firewall lives in a land forever at war. In fact, the Starian men are so busy fighting, their marriage ceremony has been reduced to a “will of the gods” event where they simply pick a woman out of a lineup and claim her as a wife. With women becoming scarce, it’s necessary to trade the offworld Divinity Corporation for brides. Duty-bound to attend the ceremony, he has no intention of picking a bride, let alone one from another dimension. That is, until he sees Lilith, the bewitching woman sent by the gods to reward—or punish?—him.

Lilith, a data analyst for Divinity, is betrayed by the Corporation and wakes up in a primitive, uncharted dimension filled with warriors who only know war and duty. But her initial fears of becoming a sex slave to a big beefy knight become all too real when a warrior of god-like proportions claims she’s his new woman. As Lilith discovers, there are worse fates than being the focus of Sorin’s skillful and earthy seduction.

Michelle’s Interview

BK: Thank you for joining us, Michelle!

MP: Thank you for having me!

BK: What is sure to distract you from sitting down and working/writing?

MP: A great movie. I love movies. They’re a perfect escape, especially after a day of staring at a computer screen. Though, I will admit that the word “great” for me might not be what everyone else has in mind. LOL I adore “B” movies and low budget pictures. I also love horror films (zombies are a fave right now), golden age Hollywood, epic tales, historically set films and well, I’ll try just about anything.

BK: And they’re a great source of writerly inspiration, too. What are you working on presently? What about upcoming releases?

MP: Currently, I’m finishing up the fourth book in the Divinity Warrior series. The series is a lot of fun because it’s based in parallel universes and offers infinite possibilities for world building. Though this is the last planned Divinity Warrior book, there have been talks of writing other Divinity books on other dimensional planes.

My releases for this year are:
Pleasure Island (ebook), Jan 2009, Ellora’s Cave
Realm Immortal: King of the Unblessed (ebook), March 6, 2009, Samhain Publishing
Realm Immortal: Faery Queen (ebook), March 6, 2009, Samhain Publishing
Realm Immortal: Stone Queen (ebook), March 6, 2009, Samhain Publishing
Divinity Warrior: Lilith Enchanted (ebook), March 25, 2009, Ellora’s Cave
Divinity Warrior: Fighting Lady Jayne (ebook), May 27, 2009, Ellora’s Cave
Divinity Warrior: Keeping Paige (ebook), TBD, Ellora’s Cave
Faire Justice (ebook), April 2009, NCP
Prisoners of Love (print), Sept 2009, Pocket Books

BK: Hmmm…busy much, Michelle? *grin*
What’s the best compliment you ever got on your writing or a book?

MP: As authors, we tend to spend a lot of time alone in front of a computer screen, wondering what in the world we’re doing it for. I think anytime a readers emails to tell me how much they enjoyed a book is a great compliment. The fact that they liked it enough to take the time to tell me always makes my day and renews my enthusiasm for what I’m working on.

BK: If you could time travel to any time or place—the past or future—where and when would you go to, and why?

MP: Since I love to study history, this is too hard. Can I just have a free pass to wander around time at will? Maybe I’d just start in the Roman era and work my way forward like a time tourist. I’d also like personal security in case history gets a little “too real”, a camera and a journal. As an author, I’d be in ideas forever.

BK: Spoken like a true author. Thanks so much for being here with us today, Michelle.

Hi Lynda — The Dragon Lords were so much fun. If you like those, you might like the Lords of the Var (the series that comes after the Dragon Lords). Email me if you want more details.

Michelle, you are a new author to me but I have seen your name in several places now. I love the sound of your Lilith Enraptured.
